Priorities for Ward 12

As your representative for Ward 12 in Calgary, I would be dedicated to addressing the issues that matter most to our community. Here’s a brief overview of what I’m focused on and how I plan to achieve it:

Engaging the Community

Real progress happens when everyone is informed and involved. That’s why I’m committed to maintaining open communication through regular town halls, quick surveys, and easy-to-use online tools. My priorities include managing our rapid growth, improving roads and infrastructure, enhancing safety in Ward 12, and supporting local small businesses. By actively listening to your ideas and concerns, we can work together to develop solutions that benefit us all. Let’s collaborate to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous community!

Managing Rapid Growth

Ward 12 is growing quickly, and it’s important we guide that growth in the right way to protect the great quality of life we all enjoy. That means thoughtful planning and making sure new development benefits everyone who lives here. But growth isn’t just about buildings—it’s about people. Building a strong sense of community is key. When we come together to share ideas, get involved, and speak up, we can make sure the changes happening truly reflect what the people of Ward 12 want and need. Your voice helps shape decisions about infrastructure, parks, and local services—creating a vibrant, welcoming community we’re all proud to call home.

Improving Infrastructure

Ward 12’s roads handle heavy traffic every day, and they need real attention. We deserve a reliable transit system that truly connects our communities, while making sure construction projects are delivered on time and within budget. My focus is on improving transportation options that make life easier and safer—whether that’s driving, biking, walking, or taking transit. By investing in practical, well-planned solutions, we can keep Ward 12 moving and ensure our streets work for everyone.

Ensuring Community Safety

The safety and security of Ward 12 residents will always be a top priority. I am committed to working closely with local law enforcement and community organizations to put effective strategies in place that reduce crime and strengthen peace of mind across our neighborhoods. Just as important is building stronger community connections. Through neighborhood programs, regular town halls, and open communication between residents and local authorities, we can create a united front that makes Ward 12 safer for everyone. When our community is connected, informed, and engaged, we are all empowered to protect and enhance the well-being of the place we call home.

Addressing Traffic Flow & Roads

One of my top priorities is to improve traffic flow and safety at key intersections in Ward 12. By addressing these issues, we can make daily commutes smoother and safer for families right away. I will also focus on resolving the pothole situation to ensure safer roads for all. In addition to these efforts, I am committed to enhancing public transportation options within Ward 12. Reliable and accessible transit systems are essential for reducing congestion and providing affordable travel alternatives for residents. Expanding bus routes and improving schedules will help connect neighborhoods while ensuring that everyone has access to efficient transportation options.

Supporting Small Business

Small businesses are the backbone of our community, driving growth and creating opportunities for everyone. It's time to cut through the red tape and create an environment where businesses can truly flourish. Business taxes in Calgary have become overwhelming and require a thorough review to ensure fairness and sustainability. I am committed to supporting small businesses by implementing better policies that allow them to grow, succeed, and thrive. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous community.
